What Mattered Today

The ASX was looking for a floor today, and found something resembling one through midday. After four straight days of selling, the market opened under heavy pressure again, before buyers emerged through the afternoon to claw back some of the damage. The ASX 200 ultimately closed down 3% lower for the week and more than 4% lower for September. Importantly, today's late recovery means we did not finish on the lows, but the broader trend remains firmly to the downside.

Ive Group (ASX: IGL) and Charter Hall Long WALE (ASX: CLW)

Hi Both of these have been on your hitlist for a while now. At what price would you finally press the buy buttons? And why does CLW keep getting beaten up? With a portfolio of long leases to top-shelf clients and around 99% occupancy with a current yield of over 7%, it can't seem to take a trick (it's down to $3.32 on Tuesday as I write). It would look like a perfect fit for an income focused portfolio (which is presumably why it's on the hitlist) - is it just interest rates or are there skeletons in the cupboard? Regards, Carl

AAIG IPO

I note in an earlier article (29/22/2024) that there was some interest in pursuing a class action against AAIG with regards to their advertised IPO. It seems that I too was also stooged and am now seeking options to recover my investment. Is there a mailing list or forum through which I can make contact with investors in the same position as myself to ascertain where I stand and what options are available to me.
