What Mattered Today

The ASX edged higher to close out a mildly positive week, helped by improving reports on the Middle East and softening expectations for Australian interest rates. Miners and Energy stocks led the line today, though it’s been a particularly volatile week, with several triple digit moves, even though we’ve ended only +0.3% above where we started.

Guys I was wondering what your thoughts are on Anteris. I'm a VERY long suffering shareholder and I have noticed the daily volume traded on rhe NASDAQ has increased quite dramatically over the past few weeks. Is there some way to ascertain if someone is trying build a position. Thks Gavan

Appen Ltd (ASX: APX)

Hi James, I have (unfortunately) been a long time shareholder of Appen and should have sold a while ago. I would appreciate your thoughts as I am sitting on quite a large paper loss at the moment and I'm thinking that perhaps it's time to ditch my shares as my patience is running out. However, Appen had their AGM today and the CEO seems very upbeat. The market seemed to react favourably to the comments. I hold Appen within my SMSF which I realise was a big mistake. Is it time to sell? Kind regards, Judy
