Mineral Resources Ltd (ASX: MIN) $54.59

Mineral Resources has a few different strings to its bow, and like PLS, its quarterly report in April showed no major concerns, which has helped the market regain confidence in the miner despite its large debt pile. As we said in June, if MIN gets lithium right, they are likely to deliver for investors, but if they get it wrong, the balance sheet leverage that made it dangerous in 2024 will come back into focus. The issue here clearly is that the price of lithium is outside of MIN’s control, although it's looking more compelling after its ~23% pullback.

Mineral Resources Ltd (ASX: MIN) $60.32

We discussed MIN last month here, at the time saying a retest of the $50-55 wasn’t out of the question - the stock's now trading ~6% lower and our feeling hasn’t changed. We like the revitalised business where Mining Services provides the steady base, Iron Ore is the growth engine, and Lithium is the high-risk, high-reward swing factor which has a major impact on the share price week to week.

Mineral Resources (ASX:MIN) $58.20

MIN bounced +6.8% on Wednesday taking it back to the middle of its 2026 trading range - it’s not “cheap” but that’s for a reason.  MIN delivered a strong result in February, with earnings beating expectations as margins improved across the business, particularly in mining services although it didn’t “pop” on the result having run hard for the last nine months.

Mineral Resources Ltd (MIN) $54.31

MIN follows the iron ore and lithium price closely and at this stage of the cycle we can see the likes of fellow lithium names PLS Group (PLS) falling ~10% hence we are in no hurry to buy back into MIN. The stock rallied close to five fold over the last twelve months and the current pullback, at this stage, is nothing more sinister than consolidation following the stellar advance. A “washout” style move, sub $50, would provide some excellent risk/reward in our opinion.

Mineral Resources Ltd (MIN) $53.80

Iron ore/lithium miner MIN also reported solid numbers last week – covered Here. We exited MIN in January above $60 and aren’t planning to re-enter at this stage, but the risk/reward is certainly more appealing after its well over 20% pullback. The stock is likely to follow the lithium price over the coming months, but we have turned more cautious here given the potential for mine restarts.
