Bendigo & Adelaide Bank (BEN) $13.38

We highlighted a trade in BEN at $12.48, targeting a quick move towards $13; this has already been exceeded. The mooted $350 million annual levy to keep bank branches open in the bush gave BEN a nice “shot in the arm.”

Bendigo & Adelaide Bank (BEN) $13.20

BEN rallied through the day while the rest of the banking sector struggled; even stalwart CBA was down 1.4%. We can thank the government for today's move.

Bendigo & Adelaide Bank (BEN) $12.42

Year-to-date BEN has rallied +28%, keeping pace with its larger competition. Following its impressive trading update in May, we turned bullish on BEN and again see no reason to alter our stance, although we are conscious of the sector’s strong performance over recent months. At this stage, we’re not chasers of strength, believing an opportunity to enter BEN could easily present itself back towards its August lows over the coming months.

Bendigo & Adelaide Bank (BEN) $12.30

BEN posted fresh 52-week highs on Wednesday. Its gain year-to-date is 26.5%, outperforming WBC, ANZ, and NAB, although it's been an excellent year for the whole sector. Following its excellent trading update, we turned bullish BEN in May, and we see no reason to alter our stance, although we are conscious of the sector's strong gains over recent months.

Bendigo & Adelaide Bank (BEN) $8.92

BEN – 2.94% A miss at the earnings line drove a decline in the share price today, although it wasn’t all bad news for this regional lender. Cash net profit after tax (NPAT) of  $282m was a ~5% miss to the $299m expected while the FY23 dividend of 61cps.
