Shawn’s Trade Idea: Buy Temple & Webster Group Ltd (TPW) at $6.86 with stops at $6.34

We traded TPW last month, being stopped at ~$11.50 for a small loss. On Friday we saw solid buying enter TPW driving the stock up more than 3% in a weak session. We are keen buyers into an initial dip this morning in line with anticipated weakness in the ASX.

Shawn’s Trade Idea: Buy Xero Ltd (XRO) at $70.11 with stops at $64.88

We also traded XRO recently, back in late 2025, being stopped out above $114 for a small profit. In line with our view towards the software sector, second time lucky!

We start the week with two open position: Long the Global X Copper Miners ETF (WIRE) at $20.98 with stops at $19.40. Long WiseTech Global (WTC) at $39.50 with stops at $35.80, around 9% risk.

Shawn’s Trade Idea: Buy WiseTech Global Ltd (WTC) at $39.50 with stops at $36.80

We remain keen buyers of weakness in global software stocks into new 2026 lows, at this stage we’ve selected WTC for a Trade, although note we have lowered our entry slightly after Richard White & Co garnered further negative press over the last 48 hours.

Trade Idea: Buy WiseTech Global (WTC) at $40 with stops at $36.80

We believe the risk/reward for WTC will be attractive ~$40, with an initial target of in excess of $50.

Shawn’s Trade Idea: Buy Global X Copper Miners ETF (WIRE) limit $21.20 with stops at $19.40

No change from last week, as we’ve discussed through today’s report we like the copper sector ~10% lower which could happen in the next few days in the current volatile market - note the Global X Copper Miners ETF (COPX US) closed down more than 4% on Friday night.

As we’ve discussed through today’s report we like the copper sector 10-15% lower which could happen in the next few days in the current volatile market. We’ve drawn our initial line in the sand which may be tweaked.

Trading Ideas – Position Updates

We have no open position at the start of this week after the Endeavour (EDV) position was stopped out the day it reported. The last 4 trades have resulted in losses, albeit relatively small, illustrating the weakness across the ASX which is main reason we have been fairly inactive of late. Prop Traders as Shawn was at Goldman Sachs often make the majority of their money in a short period of time, not losing during other times is critical to underlying performance. We expect to have more positions in the coming weeks, but patience when trading is important.
