The ASX’s leading pure copper (Cu) play continues to outperform the industrial metal: SFR is up +43% year-to-date while Cu is up less than 5% after falling away over recent months on global demand fears. As the saying goes. “don’t fight the tape”, but we can imagine a relatively muted advance by SFR when Cu finally rediscovers its mojo with supply fears moving forward already built into the share price.
NB: SFR is hosting a strategy update in Sydney today starting at 10am focussing on one of their four pillars – Increasing reserves.
- We are initially targeting the $12 area for SFR – MM holds SFR in its Active Growth Portfolio.
