Rare Earths company LYC has often been a favourite with investors and although it’s still down more than 50% over the last decade it has enjoyed a great few years including a 50% rally from its October low. The price of rare earths has been strong and importantly, the word is looking for alternative suppliers outside of China who is dominate in this space. – LYC offers the only real alternative at the moment.
The stock is highly volatile and this lends itself to a more active approach, this week we used strength to rake a good profit in the position within the Emerging Companies Portfolio.
