Hi Guys,
The great paradox of my portfolio is if you think that the Magnificent Seven and tec in general is going higher should we be keeping GQG ? and while I hold PNI if the market moves higher is it a good buy and those holding should top up?
Hi Market Matters Team
In Tuesday’s morning report – Stocks With Plenty to Gain From AI Cost Savings with the major banks already well down this path. you wrote “We can see the ASX banks pushing to new highs through 2026 with ANZ and Westpac remaining our preferred picks. MM is bullish towards the Australian Banks” However Tues Westpac flagged Middle East conflict impacts which saw the Banking sector lower for the rest of the week. Do you expect the other Banks will also be impacted? Are you still bullish the Banks ?

Hi Guys
Hi Market Matters Team
Could I have your view on the FANG ETF – Is it time to get exposure to US Tech via this ETF? Would this ETF be one of your preferred options if you are not directly buying individual US Tech Co’s?
Your view on Alcoa (AAI) please -would you continue to hold or sell?
regards
Debbie
Hi guys, just a quick one.
What’s your thoughts on the I-shares expanded tech-software IGV?
I’m long on a leveraged position and have clearly missed something as it’s hitting multi-year lows. I understand it has lots of holdings, but it would seem like most are getting a bounce, so which ones are pulling the price down? It appears to be trading at nav, but over 5% just in the last few days; 8.5% if we take the strong open from mid-week. The next obvious level is another ~8% lower.
Thanks, Simon
Dear Esteemed Team,
With this illegal war and its ramifications looking like it could continue for some time yet, China looks like a model of stability. It is decreasing its dependence on oil, and investing heavily in alternative energy – which is much cheaper than oil. Half the data centres planned for construction in the US have either been cancelled or are on pause with high energy costs and components availability problems.
