Portfolio performance

For growth portfolio given that inception was 10/5/2016 is it please possible to get performance of portfolio over different periods other than 1m, 3m, 6m, 2023 and 3 years . Performance over 12 months, 2 years, 5years and since inception would be desirable. The same query applies to other portfolios which have reasonable period since inception. Please also advise if performance figures quoted includes the 0.85 % per annum management fee? I understand investor gets shares in all portfolio stocks. I assume it is not possible for individual to sell some individual stocks and retain others, please confirm? ie investor must retain full mix of active stocks at all times. Many thanks

Hi James,

We have only recently created Market Matters Invest, however we have been running these portfolios on another platform since 05-04-18, not 2016 as you say. 2016 was the inception of the portfolios that we publish on the website. Since 2018, our portfolios have been open for investment via a financial adviser, meaning that for anyone to invest in them, they had to do so via their adviser, however about a year ago, we made these available for direct investment, whereby our users can make the decision to invest themselves, go online and make that happen without involving an adviser.

RE time frame of performance – if you visit the Invest Online section of the site you will see the performance that relates to the Invest Portfolio’s. These portfolios have only just ticked over 5 years. I have outlined the performance below. Investors hold the same positions that are in our portfolios at the same weightings.

The Match Out: ASX strong as energy bounces back, commodity stocks impress on quarterlies

A bullish session after a decent hit to U.S markets overnight, particularly the tech sector which was -3.9% weaker amid further U.S tariff and policy intervention. It was a slow and steady move up over the day, opening flat but climbing ~5-10 points hour after hour.
