Hi Market Matters Team
What’s your view on CAT – You trimmed your exposure back to 4% on 27/10 – the SPP at $6.68 closed 5/11. The share price has fallen to low of $6.10 this morning. Trading around $6.20.
For those who do not hold CAT – at what price would you consider CAT a buy? or has the opportunity been missed at this price?
regards
Debbie

I’m a long-time holder of ANZ and was thinking of selling these and buying into Macquarie Bank. I would be grateful for your thoughts on these two banks.

Hi MM,
For people without WTC exposure, do you think now is a good time to buy? With the recent ASIC office raid, I would have thought it’s premature to invest given the potential for further fallout as a result of the investigation.
Regards,
Peter

Well, I’ve been out of internet range for two weeks and what a two weeks to miss!
Someone more adept at interpreting TA explained that it’s really been just the first pullback in the public participation phase of the precious metals bull cycle (ie) throngs at Martin Place, which is quite predictable. So, we have left the accumulation phase behind and have a considerable amount of growth ahead of us before we enter any extreme territory. Apologies for the simplistic language, but how do you feel about the next 12-24 months in this sector? Thank you.

Hi James, Shawn & Team
I’ve heard about China’s recent breakthrough in converting thorium (by product of rare earth extraction) to uranium & how it could potentially free it from reliance on imported uranium.
Has this been the main impact on uranium stock prices this week? PDN, BOE, DYL they are all down so far around 12%.
How realistic is this breakthrough? Is it commercially viable?
If so – how far away is this reality- months / years ?? Are you still bullish Uranium stocks?
regards
Debbie

On 5/11/25 evening report you stated you had taken profits on MGR last week. This was after posting an earlier alert you were selling MGR around $2.39. I set up a similar sale in my trading account as soon as I received the alert however the price didn’t reach $2.39 it went down. I kept an eye on the growth portfolio to see what action occurred with MGR over the two weeks. This week it is still listed in the growth portfolio and no sales have been made despite the comments in the evening report 5/11/25. I did notice that the date appearing on the Growth Portfolio sales update was 4/8/25 however, but this does not explain why MGR is still listed in the Growth portfolio and no sales listed. I am trying to learn from your advice but can’t understand what has unfolded so far with the MGR alert, supposed sale of the security and updates in the growth portfolio. Many thanks for some clarity.
