Archives: Questions And Answers
Hi James and co,
BOQ and BEN had fallen into the falling knife category in resent times, but have shown some recent recovery. Considering reporting season, and market sentiment, do these two banks show much chance of being liked by the market any time soon?
Also, VUK, had a promising upgrade from the BoE with there stress test, but, are their future earnings enough to maintain there rise in the share price ?
PS, See you in Sept for the Apex Outback Postie Bike ride.
Thanks,
Andrew.
Hi James and Team
Strandline (STA) -as per your note on Tue STA raised $33m at 18c in an institutional placement. There was strong demand for the raise, but they elected to upsize the deal which likely weighed on secondary market support. We did not participate. As you did not participate in the raise can I have your view for those still holding some STA on the SPP.
With the stock sitting at 17.5c – Would you hold the view of only participating if the share price reaches the 18c plus 5% premium (19c ? ). With the funds available to progress their projects do u see upside now after the raise?
regards
Debbie
Many of the bank hybrids have had a nice capital gain since August anywhere from 4-5% on top of attractive yields.
In the weekend MM report you discuss hybrids and mention HBRD, the hybrid ETF. There is another hybrid ETF listed on CX-I under the code EHF-1 and managed by Elstree as part of their unlisted Australian Enhanced Income Fund. From my cursory look it seems to do better than HBRD. Do you have a view on this ETF?
Thanks you, Bob

Hi MM,
Hi James and Team
Can I have your current view on Beach Energy’s shares after it advanced 6.89% to their highest in seven months of $1.63 after posting a rebound in revenue for the June quarter.
Also how do you view XRO – Is it close to sell or lighten or is there a higher price target in mind?
