Archives: Questions And Answers
Dear James and Team,
I am reading how Small Caps both here and in the US have underperformed the Large Cap sector for several years. In your FY24 video update you confirmed the same.
So my questions are:
1. What do you think will be the catalysts for Small Caps to start playing catch up? (Interest rate cuts or will it be very stock / sector specific?)
2. At current prices, what are the highest conviction shares in your Small Cap portfolio? And would ABB be one of them?
3. And lastly, would you consider adding an American Small Cap ETF (i.e. Russell 1000) to the ETF portfolio? If so what catches your eye?
Sorry for so many questions, so many thanks in advance. Keep up the great work.
Charles
Hi MM Team,
Thanks for all your informative information.
What is your thinking on the short selling on this stock – does that keep happening, or will it settle down? With this happening, do you recommend selling?
Hi James and Team. Not a very original question I’m afraid, but pertinent to many at this point I think. Given the commentary by many that the big banks look over-valued through the lens of bothP/E and Book Value, and with ANZ a shade under $30 and BHP down to $42.70 this Wednesday evening, is it time to consider Bank to Resources switches? I am particularly interested in your thoughts on ANZ, WBC, BHP, FMG and PLS. You guys have been very ‘on point’ of late – thank you for your great service.
Hi MM,
With DMP getting price hammered today, do you see either DMP or CKF as dividend/growth stocks with potential?
DMP will have a ex dividend date coming in late August – any idea what the dividend might be?
Thanks,
Peter
Hi James & team,
I am attracted to Growthpoint as a dividend/income stock. Do you believe an 8% yield is sustainable and do you believe the current price is a good entry level?
Kind regards
Chris
