Archives: Questions And Answers
Dear James,
As interest rates are cut in the near future, one might expect fixed interest bond yields to fall and the bond prices to rise. Can MM nominate a few ASX-listed ETFs that should capture this capital gain in the future ? John.
Hi guys
Im interested on your take for companies like csl and i think bhp that earn in usd
If the usd falls like you expect it to will this have a significant effect on earnings for these companies and if so are there any other companies that may have earnings affected by a falling usd
Thanks
Tony
Hi guys
I thought mms was a good result with a good dividend but the shares were down after reporting
After reading their report i thought it was solid and the only thing i can see that is of concern is the possible changes to the ndis funding
Can you please give me your take on their results
Thanks
Tony
Hi James, Question for the Saturday report:
As a long suffering investor in Perpetual is there any sunshine in the announcement today, share price, capital return and the future of the business?
Hi MM,
Hi guys, a real quick one for you.
Do you think we will see another sell off in September – October or do you think that Yen/ recession sell off a few weeks ago was all we’re going to get for now. I know none of us can tell the future, but I was hoping for a good sell off for a nice entry for ASX200 and ride it all the way for hopefully a X-Mas rally.
I just don’t feel comfortable entering at current levels.
Regards,
Simon
Looks like I got the timing wrong when I bought into: MIN,LTR and FMG. Dividends cut and/or reduced plus in the case of MIN a negative report. Nevertheless, that is part and parcel of investing in the share market. What is your view on these three stocks now?
ALSO, I know WHC is a regular on Q&A but, given that they have now reported and things look OK..? I am surprised with the direction of their share price. They may well drop further with the ex date approaching, This being the case it may be prudent to top up/buy. I also liked the YAL growth aspirations.
What are your overall thoughts on WHC
AS A SIDE ISSUE. You may like to have a look and comment if you like on two “out of favour stocks” for your Income or growth portfolios:
APE and PWR. Competitive motor vehicle market but, good balance sheets, fully franked dividends, own a lot of their own real estate plus established and growing businesses.
