Can MM see any positives from the Alibaba (BABA) breakup?

Hi James
BABA recently announced a breakup of the various business units into separate entities in order to unlock the true value of the business. The downside is that the new entities will only be listed on the HK exchange which could be a negative. Does MM see this as a good move that could eventually lead to a re-rating?

Does MM still like Metcash (MTS) after recent falls?

Would appreciate your thoughts on Metcash. Share price has been dropping on a regular basis over the last two weeks. Also trading volume has increased,which makes me wonder whether there are large fund managers looking at reducing same. Coles/Woolworths have also decreased over the past weeks, however no where to the same extent.

Does the ASX200 look like a “Head & Shoulders” chart pattern to MM”?

Firstly, thanks for continuing to help explain the ASX Rollercoaster to us. Let me state firstly that I am not a chartist! However to my untrained eyes, the recent ASX 200 chart strongly resembles a classic “Head & Shoulders” pattern. Obviously, this will not be helpful to our portfolios in the short term. Any thoughts?

Hi James. With the aussie dollar at about 66 US cents, do you have a view on buying unhedged ETFs or the currency hedged version at the moment? eg. IVV v IHVV and QUAL v QHAL?

Does MM prefer high interest accounts vs MOT, KKC, MXT, NBI, XARO et?

hi Gents, in October 2019 you wrote a blog Report: Where to put money coming out of Term Deposits? (MXT, MOT, PCI, NBI, XARO AXW) KKC. With the term deposits or high interest accounts now much more at acceptable return levels, i would like to know where you would put your cash. Thanks heaps in advance. Filip
