What dopes the Non-Farm-Payroll number mean?

The Nonfarm Payrolls is an employment report which is usually released on the first Friday of every month. The number is basically the number of workers who found/lost a job in the month excluding farm workers due to there highly seasonal swings over the decades although its far less relevant in today’s economy.

• When the numbers rising its a sign of economic expansion which as we’ve witnessed can flow through to rising inflation, and vice versa.
