Hi Jill,
Carbon credits is a fairly new concept but there are 2 ways of investing that we watching carefully:
- The US traded KraneShares Global Carbon Strategy ETF (KRBN US) is a $US1.3bn fund where MM initially sees 15% upside from the current sub $US50 area.
- VanEck are set to launch a new ASX traded carbon credits ETF (XCO2), watch this space the ETF could be up and running in just a few weeks.
Like Peter we do believe the medium / long term outlook for carbon credits is very favourable and a new Labor government in Australia looks likely to help.
