Question asked

NVIDA (NVDA US) and TESLA (TSLA US) through ETF’s

Hi, I'm looking to get exposure to NVIDA and TESLA through ETF's. Could you please recommend which would be my best option? Thanks. Regards, Neil

Answer

Hi Neil,

There a number of tech-based ASX traded ETFs that hold NVDA and/or TSLA but the following couple may be worth considering:

  • BetaShares NASDAQ 100 ETF (NDQ) – currently 8.6% NVDA and 2.7% TSLA with fees of 0.48%.
  • Global X FANG+ ETF (FANG) – currently 10.3% NVDA but TSLA is not currently held with fees of 0.35%.

When it comes to ETFs your buying a basket as opposed to just TSLA or NVDA, and this basket can/will change as stocks rally, or fall. But at this stage the NDQ delivers some exposure to both while the FANG ETF gives reasonable exposure to just NVDA.

However, we note for exposure to NVDA &/or TSLA specifically, an ETF might not be the best path.
