Clarification on CNI

Hi Team, Just checking on this comment from the weekend......I checked CNI distribution for the last few and can only see an 8% Franking. However, you say "We remain long and bullish CNI in our Active Income Portfolio, we are targeting the $2.20-2.30 area aided by the stocks estimated fully franked yield in excess of 6% over the next 12-months" Do you mean you now estimate that CNI will be Fully Franked from now? Thanks, Brian

Answer

Sorry Brian,

We were not clear enough on this. Centuria (CNI) is a stapled security, which combines a share in a company and a unit in the trust. The share component is fully franked, however there is obviously no franking in the trust component. The combined (stapled) security pays a distribution with a combined 8% of franking. The projected dividend for CNI over the coming 12 months is 7.12%
