The Aussie has trod water against the $US for the last 6-months although against the Yen its continued to appreciate posting fresh 2025 highs last week – things look good for Australians going skiing in Japan at Christmas! FX markets have a tendency to move sharply before then consolidating, as relevant news flow gets digested, at the moment the $A is doing the latter against the $US but we do believe it will enjoy another leg higher in the coming quarters.
- We can see the Aussie eventually testing the ~70c area but it may take time.
