Thoughts on US Stocks

Hi Guys, Could I please get your thoughts on GOOGL, NVDA & OKLO. Looking at opening a position in these 3 stocks and just wanted your opinion and possible entry levels. Thanks.

Answer

Hi Neil,

Some big names here with Alphabet and Nvidia reporting later this month, followed by OKLO in March suggesting some volatility is around the corner.

Alphabet (GOOGL US) – We own this stellar performer in our International Equities Portfolio, the stocks more than doubled in under 12-months aided by its September-quarter result which comfortably beat expectations, underscoring the company’s broad-based growth and the accelerating contribution from AI-related products.

It’s always hard to know how to buy/accumulate high-flying stocks into a result, we generally feel it makes sense to leave some $$ to average into dips with the $US300 area looking a great entry into Alphabet but another impressive result could just as easily see the stock surging above $US350. MM is long and bullish Alphabet from around $US330

Nvidia (NVDA US) – this global leader in AI and accelerated computing, designing GPUs and full data-centre platforms that power everything from machine learning and cloud infrastructure to gaming and autonomous systems. The stock has traded sideways for the last 3-months as the $US4.7trillion behemoth continues to deliver phenomenal results – last quarter revenue leapt +22% to $US57bn.

The companies become a political football between the US and China but it’s hard to argue with the numbers. We like NVDA around $US190 with major support coming in below $US170.

Oklo Inc (OKLO US) – the lesser-known company of the trio, is a U.S. clean-energy company developing advanced small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs) designed to provide safe, cost-competitive, and low-carbon power for grid and industrial applications.

We’re big fans of the future for this space believing the stock looks good below $US95 after retracing sharply from its 2025 high after the company authorised a ~US$1.5bn “at-the-market” (ATM) share offering, it basically gave itself permission to sell new shares into the market over time (usually in small parcels, whenever management chooses).
