Thoughts on Drone Shield (DRO)

Hi James & team. Would appreciate your thoughts on this entity. a) Directors shareholdings nil other than options. Also no substantial shareholders? b) Competitiors to DRO c) To take some profit off the table or let it run further?

Answer

Hi Michael,

Drone detection business DRO’s exponential rally (around 700% in 12-months) has taken its market cap. above $1.1bn

A) – Always a red flag when Directors have not put real $$ in, and rely on being issued options. In any case, their $0.00 options, expiring on 19 January 2029 are getting increasing value by the week.  The lack of substantial shareholders shows no traction will funds and could prove exciting if/when fund mangers take a serious interest – it could push the stock even higher.

B) Like all knew industries competitors will evolve but DRO appear to have a 1st player advantage with a very well regarded product.

C) If MM owned DRO we would take some part profit and run the balance, a move we’d often adopt. This is a super high risk stock, and our position size would reflect that.
