SUL +12.34%: A solid result, although we initially thought we must have missed something when the stock surged above $20.
Weakness in share price, does this present BUY opportunity for Flight Centre travel group Ltd, Breville Group Ltd, Audinate (AD8), Reece? Thanks
Electrical appliance manufacturer BRG has struggled in 2025, falling over 37% from its January high. There are two significant reasons for this year’s underperformance.
Hi gents
Quick query re BRG. Clearly smashed in the lead up (and post) tariffs. Now circa $26. And right at year lows. Are they lower enough yet to contemplate? What are your thoughts, M
JBH is only down 7.2% so far in 2025, outperforming the ASX in the process; however, it has corrected almost 23% from its blow-off top in February. We continue to believe that JBH is a quality retailer, arguably the best on the local bourse.
Market stalwart WES is the 7th largest company on the ASX, and like many others, it has been trading on a very rich valuation over the past six months. However, the stock’s recent ~13% correction has alleviated some of this condition, although it remains on the expensive side relative to its own history.
The electrical consumer appliance business has corrected almost three times the ASX; BRG was looking good when it reported last month, except for the unknown impact of tariffs, i.e. almost 50% of BRG’s revenue came from the Americas in 2024.
JBH looks and feels a touch like WBC. It led the ASX’s current correction lower but failed to follow through on the downside during the last two weeks’ weakness.
HVN +2.55%: Was a top performer on the ASX today (slim pickings) as 1H25 results impressed, the stock going against the grain and moving higher on stronger than expected franchise (store) earnings and solid sales momentum into 2H.
