What is your opinion of the XERO SPP closing 5 pm Mon 21 Jul 2025?

Hi Rodney,

Cloud-based accounting software business Xero (XRO) is set to raise $200mn through its SPP at the lower of $176 (price instos. paid) or a 2% discount to 5-day VWAP. The stock closed at $179.13 on Thursday making the entry into a stock we like attractive.

We took profit on our Xero (XRO) position in June ~$193.50 , and on Friday we have bought it back ~$180. We like the acquisition, and the discount available on the SPP is attractive for holders (we think).

The Match Out: ASX falls ahead of Fed rate call tonight

The ASX gave back ground today after opening only a touch softer; selling quickly set in as traders sat on their hands amid a general risk off feel ahead of the Fed’s rate call tonight. The sharp selloff was met some buying at the ~8800 level, bouncing midmorning but tracked sideways into the afternoon.
