Question asked

WiseTech Global (ASX: WTC) and Endeavour Group Ltd (ASX: EDV)

Hi MM, You have WTC in your growth portfolio and are keen on the stock. My question relates to the ASIC investigation which has gone quiet based on the lack of WTC announcements. However, when ASIC do make an announcement, this could be a very binary outcome for the stock. How would you play WTC pending the outcome of the investigation? On EDV, they seem to be on a downhill slide even though sales in the first 7 weeks of 2H FY26 show improvement. Is this slide simply a reaction to inflation/interest rate concerns? Thanks, Peter

Answer

Hi Peter,

Firstly, we covered Endeavour Group Ltd (ASX: EDV) in another question today so won’t repeat ourselves but it’s becoming an interesting social subject.

WisteTech (ASX: WTC) one of the stocks MM wishes it was buying today as opposed to holding with a bullish view ~$40. Global software stocks have been rerated to the downside in recent months due to fears around “AI Disruption.” WTC has not been immune to the sell off but each announcement is having a decreasing impact across the space, and we feel a low is extremely close at hand.

In terms of an ASX announcement with regard to Richard White we believe the market is expecting “bad news” and has already priced the stock accordingly. It’s ultimately a grey area, and technically, Richard was not a director when he sold shares, however, arguably, he may well have been a holder of non-public information – and the optics are poor. We don’t believe that ASIC’s investigation will create a typical sort of binary outcome.
