Uniti group has agreed to be taken. The price of $5.00 per share may be reduced if a fully franked dividend is paid but only by the quantum of the dividend. The franking credit would be a bonus for the share holder and hopefully UWL's whole franking credit balance would be paid out as franking is not relevant for the acquirer. Please can you give any estimate of the likely dividend and franking Paul T
Hi Paul – the company has guided to a special dividend of up to 11cps which if fully franked is worth 15.7c – meaning the deal would ultimately be worth $5.047, if it completes on that basis. More details to come in the scheme booklet which will be out in June ahead of a shareholder vote in July.
