Would MM please provide an update on FSLR, particularly given its share price performance over the last month and half or so. Is MM still comfortable with the holding and its prospects over the medium to long term? Indeed, as mentioned recently, is MM potentially considering accumulating more at these levels or thereabouts? Hi Darren,
You are spot on with all of your observations. First Solar has clearly been weak however nothing has changed with our bullish view of the company and therefore the stock. When we originally bought it with a 4% portfolio weighting, we wrote, we are initiating a position in First Solar (FSLR US) with the intention of increasing it over time. ~US160 is the level we intend to increase it, and we intend to do that post quarter end. From a practical perspective, we prefer not to have trades that have been bought and not settled over a key performance reporting date – expect an alert shortly on FSLR.
