TPW looks great after this weeks upgrade although we would be concerned if it fails to hold above $7. There are two macro factors influencing retail as we move into 2024 and investors need to be aware of the risks/rewards accordingly and remain flexible in their outlook:
- Interest rates appear to have peaked which adds a tailwind to the largely embattled Retail Sector.
- Consumers are tightening their belts and it could become a far tougher trading environment over the year ahead.
Hence we are currently bullish toward TPW but wouldn’t “fight the tape” if it reverses back under $7.
