    Dates on Suncorp divestment to ANZ please

    Could you clarify the key dates for this sale?

    Answer

    Hi Carolyn,

    We believe the deal will get the green light but we are cognisant that the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) have raised doubts over several aspects of the proposed $4.9 billion sale of Suncorp’s banking arm to ANZ.

    • At this stage we believe the ACCC decision on the deal will be released to the market by 28th July 2023, however it could go on longer.
