    Regal Partners (RPL) and Smart Group (SIQ)

    Hi James, Both SIQ and RPL had dropped in share price substantially after ex Dividend. Any reasons for the sliding in share price ? which company is a better buy for long term investment ? Thanks for your input.

    Hi Yen,

    They are very different stocks with Regal Partners (RPL) a Fund Manager and Smart Group (SIQ) involved in salary packaging and novated leasing.

    • We have some concerns about the trends playing out in new vehicle sales in Australia and that leaves us neutral on SIQ.
    • RPL on the other hand is back to an attractive level, though it is a higher risk investment.
