Hi Team, how can one determine if the broker has made the right placements for their clients when they are asked to bid for a certain amount? The result is usually a cutback when the stock is in demand, but gets the full amount bidded if the issue is lukewarm. Is that a way to find out how the behind the scene works in terms of the allocation to clients? Thanks

I’m afraid the simple answer is no as the broker has discretion, unfortunately like many things in life things aren’t always fair. In our experience brokers often give preferential allocations to their “best clients” i.e. those that pay them the most!
