What is MM's view on Betashares Australian Bank Senior Floating Rate Note ETF (QPON) and FRN's in general?
Hi Tim,
It’s a solid ETF with a running yield of 4.94%, low cost (0.22%), easy and straight forward. We do have a preference for holding direct bonds (rather than through an ETF) and right now, we’re more positive on fixed rate bonds so we can lock in the rapid rise in interest rates. We can get ~6% fixed on a bank bond at the moment which we view as relatively more attractive.
