Paladin (PDN), Sandfire (SFR) and Woodside (WDS)

Hi James and team, As always I want to thank you first for your great work. I would like to know your opinion on PDN and SFR in the short term. How far do you think they can go? In regards to WDS, do you think it can fall much more? Is it oil price reaching the bottom? Would you buy it at these levels? Have a great weekend

Answer

Hi Dario,

A topical trifecta of stocks here, which we have been following closely through 2025, holding two for most of the year. We’ve deferred to Shawn here for his short term view especially as SFR is a position held in the “Shawn’s Trading Ideas”:

  • Paladin (PDN) – targeting the $10.50-11 area for PDN into 2026 but this is a volatile beast, already having corrected 25% twice in the last 6-months, as the chart shows. Hence, we will consider exiting our position if/when this occurs although we do remain bullish the uranium thematic over the coming years.
  • Sandfire (SFR) – This copper producer is starting lag behind the industrial metal and its global peers with sellers emerging above $17. We are watching our positions closely, this is another stock that has already corrected more than 25% on two occasions in 2025 – we would be surprised to see gains much above $17.50-18 in the short term but again we are bullish towards copper from a structural perspective over the coming years.
  • Woodside (WDS) – WDS is proving tough around $25 and although we do believe its looking for a low we aren’t yet considering the company as an investment.
