Archives: Questions And Answers
Hi MM,
Hi guys, a real quick one for you.
Do you think we will see another sell off in September – October or do you think that Yen/ recession sell off a few weeks ago was all we’re going to get for now. I know none of us can tell the future, but I was hoping for a good sell off for a nice entry for ASX200 and ride it all the way for hopefully a X-Mas rally.
I just don’t feel comfortable entering at current levels.
Regards,
Simon
Looks like I got the timing wrong when I bought into: MIN,LTR and FMG. Dividends cut and/or reduced plus in the case of MIN a negative report. Nevertheless, that is part and parcel of investing in the share market. What is your view on these three stocks now?
ALSO, I know WHC is a regular on Q&A but, given that they have now reported and things look OK..? I am surprised with the direction of their share price. They may well drop further with the ex date approaching, This being the case it may be prudent to top up/buy. I also liked the YAL growth aspirations.
What are your overall thoughts on WHC
AS A SIDE ISSUE. You may like to have a look and comment if you like on two “out of favour stocks” for your Income or growth portfolios:
APE and PWR. Competitive motor vehicle market but, good balance sheets, fully franked dividends, own a lot of their own real estate plus established and growing businesses.
As they say “Buy straw hats in winter”
Hi MM,
Hi Shawn, thanks for fixing my access issues… I now have my 1st question for your Q&A. Accent have today announced that Brett Blundy has sold a 14% stake to Frasers Group from the UK, who see it as an ‘exciting step’ in their overseas expansion. Do you see this as a sign Blundy is exiting the share registry and if so do you think this creates any succession risk? Would you think that Accent is now in play for a full takeover and does that make it more or less investable today?
Hi Guys
I have heard a lot of commentary that if the Dems win the US election again it will be very negative for stocks due to Kamal Harris proposed policy changes.
Should we consider this as a macro risk when thinking about our US investments or is it just noise?
Interested in MM thoughts on this please.
Many thanks
Alex
Hi James & team,
G’Day James,
Sorry for the last minute Q.
ACF reported on 21/8. Looked OK to me but the market does not agree. Do you know what might be wrong with this apparently very good business.
Thank and best regards, Ron
Hi MM.
With the expectation that the USD will fall due to lower US interest rates, what impact would this have on companies like CSL and would this already be ‘priced in’
Cheers
