Archives: Questions And Answers

In your 19/11/24 opinion article, BOE was at $3.07 and you guys thought it was a decent risk/reward price. I am looking to buy some asap, at $2.51 today’s price. Do you have any further opinions of today’s price?

I had Invocare (IVC)  shares and received a partial payout. I was left with some B shares. How do I sell these. No one can give me an answer. Can you?

Hi team
Would you please be able to shed some light on 2 US stocks getting some airplay at present? Both showing positive forecasts & in the Tech space. They are Axon Ent (AXON) & Micron Tech (MU). Are they likely to make your hit list anytime soon?
Thanks heaps. Have a nice (US) day.
Glenn

Hi team,
You have just added APA to the growth portfolio and sold AGL. Could you please explain why the gearing is not an issue for APA at around 380%. I thought maybe this is normal for this type of business but see AGL at a net of gearing of 32%.

Greetings MM team. Thx for for terrific service & your one-handed market responses where you make a call. (Harry S Truman is quoted as saying he wanted a one-handed economist).
Your Tuesday report stated “The resumption of purchases shows that the PBOC is still keen to diversify its reserves and guard against currency depreciation; this policy move could still be in its infancy.”
I’m still trying to fully understand how holding gold, denominated in USD, is protecting against currency depreciation.
I would appreciate some further clarification and what is the end-game of this process.

Hi MM Team,
This is not a question, neither a criticism, but rather a suggestion. (I have recently renewed my subscription, because I believe you are the best in the business!)
When I have funds available to invest, it is not very difficult to decide which portfolio to look at. However, when I get there, I am faced with up to 20 stocks marked “Active”. It takes me hours to study the volume of information presented for each.
Conversely, when I need to sell stock/s, to make cash available, it is equally time consuming.
I do appreciate your problem, of not giving personal advice, however indicating which shares you would most would like to top up and/or reduce, would not amount to “personal advice”.
Simply listing, in each portfolio the stock held, in order of preference (rather than in alphabetical order) would achieve this. Alternatively, an extra column of numbers, indicating the most wanted stock (1), to the least preferred (20) would also work.
Either options would save us, MM followers, a lot of time.
Best regards,
John

I hold shares in CXL.
Will MM Emerging companies portfolio be purchasing their full entitlement of additional shares in the Calix SPP?
What is the reason behind MM’s decision?
When do you see Calix becoming profitable?

Hi Guys
I would be interested in getting your thoughts on the quality / riskiness of the La Trobe 12 month term account as a defensive income generating investment.
Your views on how it compares with / compliments other income generating investments like hybrids and high quality private credit type investments would also be appreciated.
Thanks for your help.
