Archives: Questions And Answers

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all your hard work in keeping us informed with the market.
My query is in relation to Aristocrat. It appears to be going down and down on a daily basis.
Is it likely to be bottoming out soon or is it time to cut and run?
Thanks ..
David

FBR Ltd., with a share price of $0.004, this company looks a bit like a penny dreadful, but it has developed some revolutionary technology; a long boom, robotic bricklaying unit (Hadrian) which can build a house in a day with laser precision, and a similar unit (Mantis) for large scale robotic welding. In view of the World wide house shortage and the future rebuild of the Gaza Strip and the Ukraine, what are your thoughts on this company – a future 100-bagger or another technological failure?

Thanks again for your helpful advice.
I have some GQG which seems to be heading south in price. Is it worth holding for the dividend yield?
Regards,
David

Can you explain exercisable options please? Aura Energy (AEE) is trading today at 0.25c. I have options to buy before 30/05/26 at 0.30c.
But these ‘options’ are being traded in the meantime under AEEOC at between 0.03c and 0.05c.
I don’t understand how this works.

Hi guys
I own shares in Fiducian Group (FID) and they have been a good performer and have increased their dividend every year for at least the last ten years. The share price has been dropping lately because of an ASIC court case involving the company not disclosing properly about one of its funds. I think the fund had $15 mill at the time that they closed it down. If they lose this case, do you think it will affect the company significantly or is this share price drop another good buying opportunity
Kind regards
Tony

Hi guys, I love being a bit of a contrarian and taking positions in really unloved sectors or sold off stocks is something I enjoy (of course acknowledging fully that strategy only works if its a contrarian play rather than a falling knife!) For instance, gold stocks were cheap and a bit unloved from 2021 to 2022 and i took positions then, sitting on stocks not moving for a while, I also bought into James Hardie when it had a big sell down end of 2022 (recently just bought back in). The point is, im willing to take a position if i think its cyclical or short term and it doesnt bother me if I’m too early. Is energy and oil stocks (putting aside uraniam) particularly unloved at the moment? If I were to say that at some point there will be a turn around in energy and oil, maybe in 6 months, maybe in 12, but if i was inclined to think at some point the cycle will turn – what do you think is the best way to play a turn around in energy and oil? Woodside? FUEL ETF (though that doesn’t seem to be particularly unloved). Also, if you could give some details about what do you think we would need to have a turnaround. Thanks so much for all your advice and work. Cheers, Josh

Hi Guys,

Hello again,
In all my years of investing, my Portfolio has never pulled ahead of the Index as dramatically as it has in recent months, due for the most part from gains in gold, silver, copper, uranium and platinum. Should I be getting nervous? If I do take some money off the table that just reduces my potential gains if this bull market continues. Not asking what I should do. What would YOU do? Thanks.
