Hi a question for Saturday I was offered some shares for ventia from my shares in CIM , i know nothing about Ventia any thoughts ? and on CIM itself ?IFL had a bad day ….do we keep the faith ? Hi James, CBA tech spend is approaching $2 billion pa – is the positive impact this might have on the bottom line reflected in the price? It seems to me that analysts (excluding MM) mostly treat Banks as lumbering out dated entities that will eventually disappear – Regards Michael.

Hi James, Would appreciate some feedback on the Woolworths off market buy back. I had originally 2000 shares of which Woolworths purchased 523..I operate a SMSF in pension phase and do not pay any tax on same. The shares closed on Monday at $40.42,with the buyback price being $34.46 ( Capital component $4.31 ), and Dividend component of $30.15. Could you please advise the net benefit of same based on the 523 shares purchased. Regards John

Hi James, I’m a recent subscriber and have been enjoying the reports. I’m curious on your thoughts about ASX. I sold at a 60% profit some time ago so there are no complaints from me but it’s risen about another 20% since then. It never seems to appear on any Buy or “good value” lists so I’m wondering what you think might be keeping it at such elevated levels. Cheers, Carl
