4) If Cameco is losing almost US$50/lb on its spot purchases, how would it impact the price of URNM which has a substantial holding in Cameco?
Would it be better to invest in the likes of PDN, and BOE & avoid Urnm?
Hi James and M&M, now that the ANZ’s Suncorp takeover will go ahead despite ACCC rebuff. In your opinion, what will now occur for people holding one, or the other, or both stocks. Nickel is big news this week, more so after the BIG write down by BHP on its nickel assets. Generally it seems to be portrayed as massive increase in production from Indonesia at lower costs & a slower uptake of EVs making demand not so stratospheric as some forecasts. Is there some other big theme at play? Is BHP’s write down more to accounting standards than a long term shake down of the nickel market? What is your medium/ long term views?
Large rights issue at substantial discount, almost 1:1 to reduce borrowing/ pay interest. Endorsed [? tersely] by related party. Gross 10% yield projected on TERP. How would you assess?
