Hi Dario,
We briefly looked at NHC on Friday morning, the coal miner released 4th quarter production numbers on Monday which led the stock tumbling the most in six months although it was a tough week for the whole sector.
- FY 2024 EBITDA of $859.9 million, down 51% from FY 2023’s record result
- Cash generated from operating activities of $562.0 million in FY 2024, down 63% from the FY 2023 record result
- Average realised sales price of $181 per tonne achieved for the quarter, in line with the prior period.
- Available cash of $824.5 million.
The result wasn’t great, and the stock has slipped accordingly. We continue to like NHC for yield but acknowledge the coal price will determine any short-term swings in the stock and at the moment the fossil fuel is in the doldrums.
