NEM slid sharply last Tuesday after the Colorado-based gold miner announced its CFO has resigned with no reason given. However, the miner has quickly sprung back to life posting fresh ASX highs this week, and 3-year highs in the US where its primarily traded. With most Australian gold stocks correcting more than 20% from their June high NEM has held firm suggesting it can now push higher as the precious metal moves towards its $US3,500 high.
