Lepidico is a junior lithium explorer with projects in Namibia and Abu Dhabi. The company is looking to produce lithium hydroxide from mica minerals, a process which many have struggled with before and technology that hasn’t been proven on scale. The projects are still someway from delivering earnings and we suspect a decent capital injection will be needed to get there with just ~$15m in cash on the balance sheet. They are not profitable.
While it’s an interesting concept, it’s not one for MM.
