Any thoughts on Janus Henderson (JHG)?

Hi Team, About Janus Henderson (JHG). Although a lightly traded stock, it has been a steady little mover for the last twelve or so months and currently yielding approx. 6.5%. It has dropped about 17% in the last six weeks. Any clues? James, LLC....still no good, surprised you took it on again! Cheers, Mick.

Answer

Hi Michael,

We feel that the decline by JHG is  an aggressive reflection of the decline by global equities, i.e. its swing highs & lows overlays almost perfectly with the S&P500 Index.  JHG is relatively cheap and forecast to yield strongly over the coming 12-months however there will be more downside if equities remain weak into and through 2024.

As for Lend Lease (LLC) its a frustrating remnant of our venture into the market underperformers back in June, i.e. as we’ve repeated a lot recently the weak have kept getting weaker in 2023.

  • we are currently giving LLC the benefit of the doubt ~$6.30 due to our bearish view on bond yields into 2024.
