Healthcare & REIT

Thank you for the great reports, with such impressive detail. Please let me know your thoughts on CSL and the DRUG and REIT etf which all seem to be out of favour Sue

Answer

Hi Sue,

CSL Ltd (CSL) – we answered a question on “Section 899” earlier today, this is an increasing risk for CSL through Trump 2.0.

  • MM is not planning on adding CSL to its Hitlist in the near future.

BetaShares Global Healthcare ETF (DRUG) – a healthcare ETF, ex-Australian names, which costs 0.57% pa. Its main holdings include Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, AbbVie and Novo Nordisk. A quality bunch of companies but a number have struggled through 2025. They are slowly getting interesting but note, a weak $US is also weighing on performance.

  • We like the risk/reward towards the DRUG ETF in the $7-7.20 region.

VanEck International Property ETF (REIT) – this ETF gives exposure to international property, with holdings including Prologis, Welltower, Equinix, Public Storage and Iron Mountain with over 70% in the US followed by ~6% in Japan and 4% UK. Holding big US property companies hasn’t been helped by a declining $US.

  • We prefer individual ASX property stocks moving through 2025/6.
