Exposure to the Russell 2000
Hi James and the MM Team, keep up the great work. Is there an ETF listed on the ASX that mirrors the Russell 2000?

Hi David,
There are a couple of ways to skin this particular cat, but there is not an ASX listed ETF directly on the Russell 2000 index, unless we are mistaken. Seems a bit strange that there isn’t.
- Use ASX listed ETFs that follow the ASX Small Ordinaries Index, which as the chart illustrates, is correlated to the Russell 2000, i.e. two options here are the BetaShares SMLL and Blackrock ISO ETFs.
- Alternatively use an ASX listed global small cap ETF which again will be correlated to the Russell 2000, e.g. Vanguard VISM ETFs.
- Thirdly the iShares IJR ETF tracks the US S&P SmallCap 600 Index which again will be correlated to the Russell 2000.
