Hi Team, Having read last week's notice on Emerging Companies amendments it puzzles me on the name of the portfolio. I would expect the emerging companies are rather new or small with growth/income potential but the portfolio has included many larger and longer aged companies such as Nine Entertainment (ESTABLISHED 1956 AND LISTED 2006), Centuria Capital (25 YRS + AND 21 BILLION FUM) Thanks, Travis
Hi Travis,
The definition is all companies outside of the ASX 100. Practically speaking, we will not include companies with a market cap less than ~$200m. A Microcap strategy is perhaps what you are alluding to. Returns will primarily be achieved through capital appreciation rather than income with an overall objective of outperformance of the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index over 5 years.
