Change of substantials from Vanguard – what does it mean?
I noticed on the 5th November the Vanguard Group ceased to be a substantial holder in a number of major companies ie CSL, CBA, WES. Would appreciate any thoughts on same. Regards John

Hi John,
I wouldn’t read too much into these changes from the big passive asset manager, there can be a whole heap of reasons why this would happen however importantly, it’s not an ‘active’ bet on the company when it is a change from an index tracker. More important is watching what active managers, particularly in the small cap space are doing.
