Question asked

Centuria Capital Group (CNI) / Interest rate outlook over next 6 months

Given the inflation read earlier this week, the RBA likely to "hold" next week and 63% chance of a cut in the futures market before Christmas would MM likely increase current holdings in CNI? Do you see further upside? Thanks to all at MM for the educating insights into the market. David.

Answer

Hi David,

We remain long and bullish CNI in our Active Income Portfolio, we are targeting the $2.20-2.30 area aided by the stocks estimated fully franked yield  in excess of 6% over the next 12-months.

Over recent weeks we have added Mirvac (MGR) and GPT Group (GPT) in part, due to the macro reasons you mentioned. However, as we operate “Real Money” Portfolios we cannot buy all of the stocks, but we do like CNI over the next 6-12 months, though we would run a max exposure on this stock of 5%.
