As you are long and bullish BHP, when the deal is done, are we better off waiting to buy BHP then , instead of now? As they will be cheaper and being such a great stock, it is reasonable to believe that it won’t take too long for them to go back up. Your thoughts please!

An interesting and topical question which we effectively touched on in Fridays report. Once BHP has demerged from WPL it will be a different business and should be recognised as such, we remain bullish short term but wouldn’t be chasing at current levels taking into account the cyclical nature of their business i.e. the resources have been in favour over the last 2-years but we are looking for some stock / sector underperformance through the remainder of 2022.
