Question asked

Does MM believe Bowen Coking Coal (BCB) worth buying below the SPP?

Hi Team, 1) Is the BCB worth buying at below the SSP price to avoid dilution rather than taking up the SSP? 2) what is your view on BCB prospects? 3) In last Saturday's Q&A , it is stated " We do have a preference for holding direct bonds (rather than through an ETF) and right now, we’re more positive on fixed rate bonds so we can lock in the rapid rise in interest rates. We can get ~6% fixed on a bank bond at the moment which we view as relatively more attractive." How does a retail investor access ~6% fixed on a bank bond? Thanks & regards, Sidney

Answer

Hi Sidney,

While we like Bowen and it’s outlook, we are disappointed with the timing and size of the raise and it appears many other investors are in the same boat. There is no reason to apply for the SPP when the shares are trading below the offer price.

Regarding bonds, a broker can facilitate the purchase of these. We can do this if you would like to get in touch with our desk at Shaw- email: [email protected]
