Does MM like any UK facing stocks as Boris finally resigns?

The UK Conservative Party is looking for a  new leader after knifing Boris only a couple of years after he delivered a landslide victory, politics can be really be a ruthless arena – the same result didn’t appear likely in the next election due before January 2025. As for UK equities they’ve been impressively resolute over the last 18-months only correcting -11.7% at their worst, significantly outperforming other stock markets in the process. The FTSE index appears to have benefited from its physical distance from the Ukraine compared to the rest of Europe plus its large resources component. MM’s bullish stance hasn’t particularly been challenged post-Covid:

  • MM’s ideal scenario is we see the FTSE Index attempt to “pop” out above 7700 in the coming weeks / months.
MM remains bullish the UK FTSE ideally targeting fresh post-COVID highs
