The FTSE pushed +0.8% higher overnight, taking it within 1% of its all-time high. The UK index is one MM watches as a leading indicator for the ASX, and both remain on track to post new all-time highs in 2026, with the ASX positioned for some major performance catch-up; perhaps today’s CPI will be the catalyst.
We understand some subscribers will be sceptical of our bullish outlook towards the ASX following the recent RBA rate hikes, mixed company performance and controversial budget, BUT, things arguably read even worse in the UK, although they haven’t endured the BOE hiking rates.
- We remain bullish towards the FTSE, targeting a break out to new all-time highs.
