GQG unit availability, buy vs sell ?
Hi MM team When comparing the number buy units vs those available on the sell side , there has been a consistently higher volume of buys vs sells. Is this real demand or the result of market makers? Thanks, JanP

Hi Jan,
It’s legitimate buying demand. GQG is not a listed fund where market makers would be engaged to create a market for units. GQG is a fund manager, the company that is paid to manage the underlying funds, with a set number of shares (not units) on issue. Market makers participate in open ended structures – like listed managed funds or ETFs, where new units are created or redeemed based on investor buying and selling. Hope that makes sense!
